## Frequently Asked Questions

**What counts as a "page"?**
A page is one side of a document. A 10-page PDF counts as 10 pages. Scanned documents, images, and spreadsheet tabs each count as one page. Your page count is tracked across all projects in your organization.

**Can I switch plans anytime?**
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you keep full access until then.

**What happens to my data if I downgrade?**
Your documents and conversations are never deleted. If you exceed the new plan's page limit, you won't be able to upload new documents until you're within limits, but all existing data remains accessible and searchable.

**Do you offer annual billing?**
Not yet, but annual billing with a discount is coming soon. Currently all plans are billed monthly. Contact us if you'd like to be notified when annual billing launches.

**What payment methods do you accept?**
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and PayPal through our payment partner FastSpring. Enterprise customers can arrange invoicing and bank transfers.

**Is there a free trial for paid plans?**
Yes. Every new account gets 30 days of Premium access for free, no credit card required. After the trial, choose the plan that fits your needs or continue with the Free tier.

**What's the difference between Document and Domain Intelligence?**
Document Intelligence (Starter+) includes drawing analysis, conversations, and version detection — features that help you understand individual documents better. Domain Intelligence (Standard+) adds construction-specific capabilities like contract analysis, BOQ analysis, RFI management, and schedule analysis — features that understand construction domain knowledge.

**Can I add more team members?**
All plans include unlimited team members and unlimited projects. We believe your whole team should have access to critical project information without per-seat pricing.

**What document formats are supported?**
Brickato supports PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), and image files (PNG, JPG, TIFF). We handle scanned documents with OCR, including handwritten notes in multiple languages.

**How does the AI citation system work?**
Every AI answer includes direct references to the source document, page number, and relevant section. You can click any citation to jump directly to the original text, ensuring full traceability and trust in every response.

**Is my data secure?**
Yes. All documents are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We use row-level security in our database, and your documents are never shared with other organizations or used to train AI models.

**Do you support Hebrew documents?**
Absolutely. Brickato was built with full Hebrew and multi-language support from day one. Our OCR handles Hebrew text, including scanned documents, and the AI understands Hebrew construction terminology natively.
